On May 30th, 2015 the second #europehome project coordination meeting took place. It was hosted by the University of Latvia and allowed partners to discuss the current achievements and proceed with planning the next project period.
The meeting was devoted to three main project activities. Firstly, an overview of the needs analysis was presented by prof. Elisabeth Pereira and the initial results revealed that entrepreneurial skills, communication skills, information, media and technology skills, including virtual collaboration, are among the top skills graduates lack the most. Full report will be available by the end of June and skills mismatches identified will be the basis for further work on the learning material.
Secondly, implementation of the part-time placement scheme and final selection of mobile students for their placements in the project partner companies was discussed. The matching will be finalised by end of June and tandems with local students will be created at the beginning of next academic year.
In addition, as the first #europehome summer school on entrepreneurship, creativity and competitiveness in the job market is approaching and will be hosted by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (August 24th -20th), the partners agreed on the main steps, roles and the preparations needed both regarding content and logistics.
The second #europehome coordination meeting was attended by representatives from 5 project partner universities and EUF-CE. We would like to thank all the participants for their contribution and for productive discussions in Riga as well as our special thanks to the University of Latvia for its hospitality.
The next #europehome meeting will be in held in Luxembourg, on November 5-7, 2015.
