The first Intensive Programme for learners ‘’Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity to Increase Competitiveness in the Job Market’’, organised by the #europehome project consortium, will take place during the last week of August (24-30 August, 2015) in a scenic camping area of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece.
#europehome is a project aimed at increasing employability of prospective graduates and creating favourable circumstances for students to earn highly valued competences in the labour market. The first intensive summer course will allow piloting an innovative material on developing essential entrepreneurial skills and it is organised as an integral part of the #europehome project activities.
The intensive summer course is intended to equip students with knowledge and deeper understanding about the core professional and transversal skills to succeed in the job market in a European context. Participants of this intensive summer school will learn to apply a range of entrepreneurial management principles and will also be encouraged to practice these skills by solving real-life challenges. Practical and theoretical sessions will be delivered by 9 professors and the content of the learning material modules has been prepared by 5 #europehome partner universities (University of Alcala, University of Aveiro, University of Latvia, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Lodz University of Technology).
In addition to the academic part, students will attend Vergina, a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage city, take part in a city tour in Thessaloniki as well as share their traditions and cultural richness during cultural evenings.
The first intensive summer course will be attended by 40 students selected from 5 partner countries (Spain, Portugal, Latvia, Poland and Greece). Students are mainly from the fields of Business and Engineering and 3 ECTS will be awarded for successful participation and for meeting academic requirements.
