Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest university in Greece. The main campus is located in the centre of the city of Thessaloniki. Some educational and administrative facilities are located off campus or even outside the city of Thessaloniki. It is comprised of 11 faculties and 41 schools. More than 80,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students study at the Aristotle University. There are more than 2,000 faculty members: professors and lecturers. There are also teaching assistants, research fellows, members of the Special Laboratory Teaching Personnel, as well as foreign language teachers and foreign instructors. Faculty members are also assisted by members of the Special Technical Laboratory Personnel. The administration consists of trained and experienced employees.

Today A.U.Th. holds approximately 1,170 active bilateral agreements with European universities in the frame of Erasmus+. The Department has been actively promoting student and staff mobility through- out Europe since the Erasmus first steps. Its activities are not limited in the European union borders; its active involvement in the Erasmus Mundus consortia has made possible the exchange with universities from the Balkans, Black Sea, Mediterranean, Asia and Latin America. An increasing number of students from a wide area of countries and academic fields choose for the postgraduate studies the EM joint masters and doctorates supported by A.U.Th.
